Motion Sync recently had the opportunity to present PREACT to leaders from the U.S. Department of Transportation during a visit to the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI).

The technology behind PREACT grew out of research supported in part by the U.S. DOT Research and Technology program. During the visit, the Motion Sync team shared how that research has evolved from an academic project into a technology focused on improving passenger comfort and reducing motion sickness.

The visit brought together representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation, UMTRI, Mcity, and the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) to discuss research and innovation shaping the future of transportation.

For Motion Sync, the event was also an opportunity to demonstrate how long-term collaboration between public research programs, universities, and startups can help move emerging transportation technologies toward real-world use.

As vehicles become increasingly automated, passenger comfort will become an important part of the mobility experience. Motion Sync is continuing to develop PREACT with the goal of making future transportation more comfortable and accessible for passengers who experience motion sickness.

We are grateful to the U.S. Department of Transportation, CCAT, UMTRI, and everyone who has supported the development of this technology from its early research stages to today.
